Following with our commitment to care for the environment, at Fundiciones Río Ebro, we are working to implement a photovoltaic electricity self-consumption system.
By opting for solar energy and solar panels, we have made the perfect decision to reduce our carbon footprint, aimed at promoting the efficient use of natural resources.
Together with our energy consultant, we have carried out a study on our consumption and we have established as our main objective to avoid the emission of about 20 tons of CO2 per year, which would be equivalent to the effect of planting more than 125 trees (different studies affirm that a tree stores approximately 166 kg. of CO2 per year).
The solar installation is scheduled to be ready in 2022.
This new measure, along with those taken in previous years (implementation of more efficient and low-consumption machinery and elements) will contribute “our grain of sand” to reduce the environmental impact and collaborate in the sustainability of the planet.
