It is already a reality, last year we reported on the implementation of the project to install a photovoltaic electricity self-consumption system in our work centre. After carrying out the relevant technical study and complying with current regulations, at Fundiciones Río Ebro we have installed photovoltaic panels with a large generation capacity that will help to avoid part of the CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
With this installation we continue with our commitment to reduce the company’s carbon footprint in 2022 and future years. This commitment is part of the company’s sustainability strategy and represents a firm step towards reducing dependence on conventionally generated electricity, committing to a production model that improves competitiveness, favouring sustainable development and the development of local employment.
In addition to the commitment to renewable energies, the company has been implementing actions aimed at reducing the consumption of electricity, natural gas and transport fuels in actions that aim to minimise the impact of our activity on our surroundings and the environment, contributing to a more sustainable world.
